Notes on Liralen's visit in October 2017

"Memories are unkind. Even the sweetest ones are tinged by the fact that the experience has fled. A memory is a funeral for experience. Roleplaying games are designed to create those funerals. It's the way they work." — Malcolm Sheppard

Notes

Weather

Weather should be Sunny throughout, 60-75 in Mountain View Tuesday, 60's Santa Cruz Wednesday, 60's Oakland Thursday, 70's in Walnut Creek over the weekend. Air likely to be smoky from the burnination. HEPA filter was useful!

Trader Joe's Notes

Liralen now has one in Boulder, so no need to stock up except for Peppermint Drinking Chocolate for some reason it comes out earlier in California than in Colorado, so stock up on four Peppermint Chocolates to take home.
* Snacks for the Con - note that we got $60 worth of stuff in 2014 and it nearly all got eaten. $90 worth was a bag too far. In 2017 we got two bags for $62 total and about half was eaten.
* Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups were very popular
* 1 noodle bowl.
* 6 pack of tiny yogurts
* Small box of cereal or a cereal cup.
* One salad with mix-ins and dressing packet.
* Fresh fruit (2 apples this time)
* Get milk from a convenience store/gas station rather than from TJ's.
